قبل ما تسافر… اشتغل على نفسك

السفر حلم ملايين من شباب مصر، وخصوصًا إلى الخليج، والسعودية تحديدًا. لكن الحلم ده محتاج استعداد حقيقي، مش شنطة سفر بس.
لو أنت خريج تعليم عالي: مدرس، محاسب، مهندس، خريج تجارة، أداب، حقوق… لازم يكون معاك مهنة واضحة، مهارة، تخصص. مش كفاية تقول "أنا خريج". الخليج ما بقاش زي زمان.
ولو أنت دبلوم أو من غير شهادة، فالموضوع محتاج صنعة. صنعة حقيقية. كهرباء، سباكة، دهان، نجارة، حدادة… أي حاجة تكون صنايعي فيها، مش بس اتفرجت على فيديوهات يوتيوب.
ليه؟ لأن شغل الفهلوة ما بقاش ينفع. الهندي بييجي من بلده على 1000 ريال وبيقبل بيهم لأنه بيعيش على أقل القليل. لكن أنت كمصري، لا في مصر تقدر تعيش بالرقم ده، ولا في الخليج اللي بقى غالي.
سوق الشغل في الخليج بقى تنافسي جدًا. الشركات بتدور على مهارة حقيقية، مش مجرد جواز سفر.
نصيحة لأي شاب بيفكر يسافر:
اتدرب على مجالك، اشتغل على نفسك، خد كورسات، اشتغل تدريب حتى من غير مقابل.
الإنجليزي بقى ضرورة مش رفاهية.
التدريب في مصر متاح ببلاش، سواء في مراكز تابعة للتضامن أو الجمعيات أو حتى أونلاين.
الغربة مش سهلة، ولو رحت وانت فاضي، هتتبهدل. لكن لو سافرت ومعاك صنعة أو مهارة، هتبقى بطل.
وعشان ده يحصل، لازم كمان الدولة تتحرك:
مراكز التدريب المهني لازم ترجع تشتغل بجد، مش أوراق وختم.
الشركات والمصانع الكبيرة لازم تفتح أبوابها لتدريب الشباب.
عندنا نماذج نجحت زي الفلبين، بتخرج آلاف الفنيين الجاهزين للسفر.
ما العمل؟
الشباب يشتغل على نفسه قبل السفر.
التعليم الفني والتدريب المهني لازم ياخد اهتمام حقيقي.
الدولة تشجع الشركات على تدريب الخريجين.
كل شاب قبل ما يحلم بالغربة، يبص في المراية ويسأل: أنا رايح أعمل إيه؟

Before You Travel… Be Prepared

Traveling to the Gulf, especially to Saudi Arabia, remains a dream for millions of young Egyptians. Yet today, that dream requires much more than a passport and a plane ticket – it demands real preparation.
If you’re a university graduate – a teacher, accountant, engineer, or lawyer – you need a clear skill or practical specialty. A degree alone no longer suffices, and the Gulf job market has changed drastically over the last decade.
If you hold a diploma or have no formal education, your path is still open – but only if you have a real trade: electrician, plumber, painter, carpenter, metalworker… not just someone who watched YouTube tutorials, but a skilled professional.
Why? Because the age of “winging it” is over. A worker from India might accept 1000 riyals because he can live on very little. But for an Egyptian, neither that income suffices at home, nor in today’s expensive Gulf economies.
The job market is fiercely competitive. Companies are no longer looking for nationalities – they want skill and competence.
So, if you're planning to travel abroad:
Train in your field
Take courses, even unpaid internships
Learn English – it's a must, not a luxury
Use free training opportunities in Egypt, from government centers, NGOs, or online platforms
If you arrive abroad empty-handed, you’ll struggle. But if you arrive with a skill, you'll succeed – and earn respect.
Yet responsibility does not lie with the youth alone. The state must also act:
Activate vocational training centers effectively
Encourage large companies and factories to offer practical training programs
Learn from successful models like the Philippines, which prepares thousands of trained workers for international jobs annually
What Must Be Done?
Youth must invest in themselves before traveling
The state must prioritize vocational education and training
The private sector must commit to training graduates
Every young person must ask before leaving: “What do I truly have to offer?”
