**Lessons from History: The End of Dominance and the Beginning of Palestinian Liberation**
The Suez War in 1956, known as the “Tripartite Aggression,” marked the effective end of the British and French empires, which had dominated half the globe for over 150 years. After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union (now Russia) emerged as the new global superpowers, supplanting Britain and France and turning them into countries under American influence. This also led to the liberation of British and French colonies across Egypt, India, Africa, Asia, and South America. History indeed repeats itself, as stated in the Quran, *“Such days (of varying fortunes) We alternate among the people.”* There is no lasting greatness except in God Almighty.
